EquuSys Equine Sensor Systems

New Techniques for Early Diagnosis and Treatment of Equine Health Problems

"[EquuSense] is a sensing system that detects motion and the rate of motion, and it measures the force the horse puts on the limb," says Chris Kawcak, DVM associate professor in Colorado State University's Orthopaedic Research Center.

"This is an easy-to-use system that can be applied regularly to determine limb use in horses," Kawcak says. "That way, we can detect subtle lameness that might affect a horse's training."

Equine Performance Analysis

Telemetry and informatics have proven their ability to maximize performance in elite sports worth billions of dollars, including Formula 1 and America's Cup. EquuSys provides the same benefits to the equine industry with EquuSense equine sensor systems, the first legitimate effort to deliver practical telemetric analysis to the equine world.

Real World, Quantitative Data

EquuSense enhances the analysis, care and performance development of elite horses. Our patented technology enables us to analyze and present unique views on the how and why of equine performance.

EquuSense lets vets, farriers and other equine practioners evaluate a horse′s movement for lameness, particularly subtle or mild lameness, multiple-leg and other difficult lameness presentations.
